Mexican-ish

Bean tostadas and all the fixin's
Spanish rice (out of a bag)
Corn
Fresh pineapple and kiwi

Our lame grocery store didn't have any tostadas so I fried up some corn tortillas, which is better anyways. I showed Ashton the can of refried beans (Taco Bell brand, no lard), and he went crazy jumping around and hugging me and telling me he loved me. The boy loves his TB, even when it comes in a can.

You?

We had leftover brisket, black beans, and sour cream and chive potatoes. It tasted better the first night.

Oh? People!

The apples - yes bumper crop is one way of putting it. Try...the cashier asks you: is this your (hugenormous) bag of apples? ...Ah, no. So you get home only to find...guess what? as you are unloading the groceries. Under normal circumstances I would spin around and take it back to the store. So a week later, the apples are threatening to shrivel....oooh, now would be the time to go back to the store. Yeah, bumper crop.

Last night made:

homemade macaroni/cauliflower cheese dish w/steamed cauliflower, and browned morning star sausage crumbles mixed in.
pineapple, strawberries, banana fruit salad.
