Michelle, one of Clayton's work associates, brought dinner over Friday night--so nice and so generous. She made:
Lasagne
Wild greens salad with pecans
Croissants
Iced brownies
Chocolate-oatmeal cookies
And, she also made another entree of stuffed pasta shells that we put in the freezer for later. It all was delicious, and we are so grateful!
Saturday lunch:
Black bean burritos with spinach and red peppers
Corn
Salsa and sour cream
Peaches, cherries, and blueberries
Then I made banana muffins at night to have for Sunday breakfast.
We ate a frozen dinner tonight--fettucini alfredo.
You?
My mommy comes tonight...maybe she will cook for us this week if the kids don't wear her out!

I cooked all weekend - but not for just us!
Friday night we had a dinner at temple before services. it was a beach theme, so there was beach type food that I had nothing to do with. Our family was in charge of the "Jetty Juice Bar," and all 5 of us had a great time buying juice for 300 people, setting it up and serving it by mixing "mocktails" for everyone. We had every juice they make - orange, pineapple, strawberry, cherry, cranberry, apple, passion fruit, guava, mango, etc. etc.
Then, saturday night Marlon (who did the grilling) and I made a nice bbq dinner for our family and 29 of Jacob and Michela's closest friends (it was their bday party.) We had:
hot dogs cooked on the grill
mac and cheese (from a box)
baby carrots
red and green grapes
bbq and sour cream and onion potato chips
and cooked corn
We had games and activities out in the park (wacky relays, freeze dance, etc.) that Harrison and a friend of his organized, and then ate. Then we took all 29 of them night swimming. Then we watched a movie and had dessert consisting of :
homemade brownies
homemade choc chip cookies
4 different choices of ice creams with toppings
14 of them stayed over night! After the movie, they told stories and played truth or dare, then finally went to sleep around 1 a.m.
Today for breakfast I made:
scrambled eggs
choc chip or blueberry waffles (frozen kind)
fruit salad with strawberries, blueberrie and bananas
and fresh donuts from the donut store.
It was fun and exhausting.
Went to an Angels baseball game tonight, so ate at the game.
